Playground operators are increasingly committed to designing their facilities to ensure full accessibility for all user groups – especially for people with mobility impairments such as wheelchair or walker users. A prerequisite for barrier-free use of existing playground equipment is a level, load-bearing and shock-absorbing impact protection surface.
The Terrasoft Path Bordering Impact+ EPDM 80 mm – certified according to DIN EN 1176 – acts as a stable lateral edging for impact protection slabs. It ensures the necessary stability during installation and reliably prevents the surfaces from slipping sideways. This allows for targeted retrofitting without extensive reconstruction.
Thanks to its coloured EPDM edge, the edging stands out clearly from the surrounding play area – an advantage that contributes to better orientation, especially in low-light conditions or for those with visual impairments.

The path edging is made from pure rubber granulate (1–3.5 mm, PUR-bonded) and is suitable for outdoor use. It provides clear edge definition and secure fixing of fall protection systems and offers a clean and functional solution for playgrounds, paths and barrier-free access areas.
